Partner William D. Shapiro Named CAl-ABOTA 2015 Trial Lawyer of the Year

William D. Shapiro, an attorney and partner at Robinson Calcagnie Robinson Shapiro Davis, Inc. (RCRSD), has been selected as the CAL-ABOTA 2015 Trial Lawyer of the Year. Recognized as the highest honor a California trial lawyer can receive, the CAL-ABOTA Trial Lawyer of the Year award honors recipients exhibiting the best traits of a trial lawyer – excellence in advocacy, a distinguished career, and a reputation for civility, ethics and fair play. Mr. Shapiro – a past president and active member of Cal-ABOTA’s San Bernardino/Riverside Chapter –was selected by representatives from California’s eight ABOTA chapters, each of which nominated an individual for consideration.
Cal-ABOTA has been selecting lawyers from California to be named as Trial Lawyer of the Year since 1962‚ when they were known as the ABOTA National Executive Committee. With over 1‚500 members in eight different chapters spread across California, the organization works to recognize the top attorneys in the state‚ honor these lawyers during the State Bar meeting‚ and analyze legislation affecting California’s trial practices.
