Robinson Calcagnie recognizes that the number of women and diverse partners in law firms needs to improve and is committed to being part of the solution. The firm has been a leader in providing significant leadership opportunities for women attorneys for decades, and nearly half of the firm’s partners are women. In 2022, the firm was recognized by the Orange County Coalition for Diversity and the Law as one of the Top 10 Legal Organizations for DEI in Orange County.
The firm also regularly collaborates with other bar organizations to support diversity initiatives in Orange County and throughout California. As 2022 President of the Orange County Bar, partner Dan Robinson created the annual Lei Lei Wang Eckvall award for attorneys who demonstrate both a commitment to diversity and excellence in the law. The firm has also partnered with Project Youth to help provide services to at-risk youth throughout Orange County for over 15 years. The firm offers employment opportunities for youth identified by the program, primarily in the Hispanic communities of Orange County. One of the firm’s partners also funds an annual scholarship through this organizational partnership for disadvantaged youth to pursue higher education. Throughout its history, Robinson Calcagnie, Inc. has wholeheartedly supported the recruitment, retention, and advancement of women and diverse attorneys.
The firm has completed the California State Bar Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Seal Application for consideration for a DEI Leadership designation.
Diversity, Equality + Inclusion Committee
Robinson Calcagnie, Inc.’s Diversity, Equality + Inclusion Committee represents a cross-section of the firm, including attorneys and staff, which reflects the intense commitment of all firm members towards diversity and inclusion. The Committee is focused on supporting and developing innovative initiatives to work towards greater diversity and inclusion of everyone working at the firm as well as in the greater legal community. It also is committed to promoting diversity and inclusion in recruiting, retaining, and advancing attorneys.
