$40 Million – California Jury Awards Landmark Verdict Against Johnson & Johnson
Posted in on December 15, 2025
In the first Johnson’s Baby Powder trial after federal courts rejected Johnson & Johnson’s attempts to declare a sham bankruptcy, Dan Robinson of Robinson Calcagnie, Inc. secured a $40,000,000 verdict in Los Angeles today against Johnson & Johnson on behalf of two women who developed ovarian cancer after using Johnson’s Baby Powder for over 50 years. After a five-week trial, LA County jurors found that Johnson & Johnson’s negligence, failure to warn, and concealment of their talc products’ risks were a substantial factor in Robinson’s client developing ovarian cancer. This verdict represents not only justice for Robinson Calcagnie plaintiffs, but a powerful message of accountability for Johnson & Johnson. Robinson Calcagnie thanks its lawyers and staff who helped secure this critical verdict, including Paul D’Agostino, Genevieve Outlaw, Michael Olson, Wesley Polischuk, Jennifer Curnutt, Conda Takanabe, and Greg Gibbs. Beasley Allen served as co-counsel for one of the plaintiffs. Tad Draper was referral counsel and Evan Wolfe served as the team’s trial technician. Robinson Calcagnie is proud to represent our clients in this important litigation.
